ast night it snowed so much that this moming thev called off classes at my school. Outside everything was covered with snow, eventhe littlest twigs on our trees. My parents had to work, so they took me to my friend Sally's so her older sister Rachel could baby-sit us. Rachel is cool because she knows the words to every song on the radio and she knows how to drive. It wasn't very cold so we played outside all day. First we made a snow fort and a snowman to stand guard. Then Rachel took us to the ice rink and we pretended we were figure skaters on TV. We even picked the songs we would skate to and the color of our costumes. After a while my mittens startedto feel wet and cold, so we went back to Sally's. I couldn't wait to get home and changeinto my warmest pajamas and slippers.That night mv Mom made me cocoa. I toid her that the best thing about snow daysis that they're like a surprisevacation.Somehow that makes all the things you do seemextra special.r
