Sharp appearance and style can make the difference between an easy to read C.V. and a dull, tedious one. Appropriate length: 1-2 pages for Ph.D. applicants. The length of the C.V. normally corresponds to the amount of experience you have. Use concise, active language to describe your activities. Account for all significant periods of time since your initial college enrollment, including time during which you were not enrolled in a college or university. Avoid complete sentences and "I" statements. Proofread your C.V. several times to catch grammatical and typographical errors. Have at least one other person proofread it as well.
