The thillai (chidambaram) brahmins follow the dharma as taught by the vedas and perform various
yagnas maintaining the stipulated fires. They help the world by destroying poverty and other evils by
following such dharma. Siva, the primal Lord wearing the young bright crescent moon, dwells in the
citRambalam temple. All those who hold His feet in their heart will be rid of their sins.

complexion, who enjoys the songs of the eternally true Vedas, dwells in the citRambalam temple in
Thillai.

crescent moon comes into slight contact with them. Bees never cease humming in the Golden Hall
(kanaka sabha). Lord Siva dwells in the citRambalam (chith sabha) that is adjacent to the Golden Hall.
Praising His feet is the true joy.

When Siva stood as an infinite column of fire, Vishnu (who lies on a serpent bed) and Brahma (who is
on a cool lotus flower) could not see His feet and top and worshipped Him. He dwells in the
citRambalam in Thillai where great men live. Even great ills will leave quietly without causing any
harm to those who worship Him.

Do not listen to the falsehoods uttered by the Buddhists wearing ochre robes (dyed with color made
from tree barks) and the Jains extolling ascetic austerities. Let us worship Siva who dances in the
citRamabalam in thillai that is home to great men.
