Introducing PowerLogic ION8650

The PowerLogic ION8650 is Schneider Electrics next generation revenue and power quality meter that provides the highest level of revenue-accurate energy measurements in its class. Like its ION8600 predecessor, the ION8650 also provides comprehensive logging, advanced power quality measurement, multiprotocol/multi-port communications, and optional onboard and remote I/O capabilities. The ION8650 supports all of the ION8600 meters features. In addition, the ION8650 features the following new or enhanced characteristics and functions:

Twice the accuracy of IEC 62053-22/23 and ANSI Class 0.2 metering standards Full compliance to IEC 61000-4-30 Class A Edition 2 power quality measurement standard IEC 61850 protocol support for integration with substation automation systems Full EN50160 support IEC 60255-24:2001 COMTRADE data format support Extended current range from 0.01 to 20 A one meter for 1 A, 2 A or 5 A nominal current inputs Up to 128 MB of onboard memory Increased meter security to log user accesses Configurable kW/MW unit scaling for displayed values on the meters front panel Simplified ordering one meter can be used on a Form 9S, 29S or 36S socket base Full backwards compatibility your custom ION8600 templates (frameworks) can be installed onto the ION8650 meter
