To Whom It May Concern: This letter is on behalf of Witter Ranch Community Alliance, D.A.R.T., and the National Night Out Committee (NNOC). National Night Out was introduced to celebrate our community and neighbors in a safe and sober environment. This event will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Witter Ranch Park, located off Saintsbury Drive. This year is particularly special as the Witter Ranch Community Alliance (WRCA) and D.A.R.T. will honor our local Police and Fire Departments in Remembrance of 9/11. It will be a memorable evening of family, fun, food, entertainment, and gifts. Last year we welcomed approximately 400 members of our community to this important evening. Our past NNO events were hosted by only the WRCA; however, this year we welcome D.A.R.T.s participation. D.A.R.T. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service as #68-0087438. As we are honoring our Police and Fire Departments with gifts of vital importance to their safety, we are looking to you for help and support. We will be purchasing a RAE Multi-System for one of the local Fire Department engines. This equipment will help to prevent injury and/or loss of life to our fire fighters. The cost for the RAE Multi-System is $3,500. As for the Police Department, we are still considering which piece of equipment to purchase but it will be something to enhance the safety of the officers. We would like to request a donation toward these gifts; your generosity will help substantially. The sponsors of this event will have the opportunity to benefit from a business perspective as well as contribute toward a great community effort.
