SUMMER HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

Summer is here, the kids are out of school and You Make a Cake has an exciting number of summer workshops coming up so the kids can keep learning while also having fun. Leave your children with us and pick them up later with a box of delicious treats!
AVAILABLE WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY

5-8 Years
10.30-12.00 Younger children will tackle some basic cookery projects while mums have a coffee in our caf (a parent is required on the premises for children under 8). Children will receive a lesson in the basics of cooking and the function of ingredients and quizzes and games will be played as their goodies cook and cool. 4.00-6.00 Older children will tackle some more challenging and creative projects (although they are still suitable for children who have never baked before.) Techniques learned will provide building blocks for further exploration! July 27-29 Marbled cupcakes Swirl chocolate and vanilla batters to create marbled cakes and swirled icing. Sweet and Savoury Scones Learn to make chocolate chip and cheesy scones, to be taste-tested in our store with a cup of tea or juice. Carrot Cake Cupcakes A classic cake topped with a tasty American icing thats an advanced variation on our standard buttercream Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Children learn how to make variations on a theme, using the same base to create two different types of cookie. Cookie Dough Cupcakes Upon first glance they look completely normal but these cupcakes have a hidden surprise you bite into them! 25 per workshop
