Lyall Bay reserve to become road

Under Section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, Wellington City Council proposes to declare the Council-owned reserve land described in the schedule below to be legal road. Schedule: An area of 7sq m, currently held in Computer Freehold Register WN 58B/395, legal description Lot 62 DP 21360, situated on Lyall Parade between Tirangi Road and Kingsford Smith Street, Wellington. This land, which is classified as recreation reserve, is currently being used as a driveway by way of an easement. Due to the narrowness of the recreation reserve land in the vicinity of the driveway, it has low, if any, use for recreational purposes. The Council is required to obtain the written consent of the Minister of Conservation to this declaration. The reserve land will then become part of Lyall Parade road. A report on this proposal is available from the Public Notices section of the Councils website at Wellington.govt.nz, or from the Council Service Centre, 101 Wakefield Street, Wellington during normal office hours. You can make a submission either objecting to or in support of this proposal by emailing paul.davidson@wcc.govt.nz, or by sending your submission to Paul Davidson, Property Advisor, Property Services, PO Box 2199, Wellington. Submissions are due by 5pm 15 July 2011.
