Summer Camp 2009 @ IIT Kanpur

for Undergraduate Students of Civil Engineering REGULATIONS OF THE CAMP

We have made arrangements for your accommodation and meals. Girls will stay at GH I and the accommodation for boys has been arranged at Hall VII. You will share a room with a fellow participant. You will have your breakfast and dinner at your hostel. The working lunch will be served at Visitors Hostel. 2. Ensure that you bring your water bottle, cap, notebook etc. daily. Please follow the daily routine strictly. A copy of the same has been given to you in your registration kit. 3. There will be several lectures/exercises by eminent persons in civil engineering. Please bring your notebook, calculator, etc. for these. 4. We will be putting a lot of emphasis on your physical fitness with the rigorous physical exercises at morning and sports and games activities in evening. 5. You must always be in possession of your ID Card. The same should be shown when asked for. 6. No participant will be allowed to leave the camp in between for any purpose whatsoever. 7. Usage of cell phones is only allowed between 6.00pm to 8.30am. Flouting this rule is liable to attract confiscation of the cell phone for the duration of the Camp. 8. Do not enter into any kind of oral or physical altercation with anybody. In case of such a happening move away from the site and immediately contact the Camp Coordinators. 9. Please expect the camp to be extremely demanding both physically and mentally. Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the same. 10. Skipping of meals is a punishable offence. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against you if it is found that you have skipped a meal. 11. Always follow a buddy system. No camper should be seen walking alone at any time of the day. Your movement from place A to place B should be known to some of your colleagues other than who are accompanying you. 12. Needless to mention, exemplary discipline is expected from all the participants.
