    A picnic and punching event will be held on September 10, 2011 at Magnuson Park Shelter #1 in Seattle to raise donations for relief efforts in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami. The donations will go to the relief organization Peace Winds Japan through its Seattle-based sister organization Peace Winds America. The event is being organized by Minakami Karate Dojo but Peace Winds America has given permission for its name to be used without constituting an endorsement of Minakami Karate Dojo.
