As known, ELECTRIC THEFT is a very serious problem nowadays.

Anybody can steal electricity just by connecting two bypass conductors from the mains going to the METER to the OUTPUT of Metter connections. Basically when the two terminals of meter input are directly connected to the two meter output terminals, the current which the meter was reading goes directly through the low resistance path given by us, and hence the meter reading reduces. Hence the bill amount of the consumer reduces. My projects main motto is to insert a equivalent out of phase voltage wave to the meter output terminals which on superposing the directly connected voltage wave, cancels the wave and the final output voltage to the appliances would become zero. Hence reducing the chances of electric theft! The concept in it is to make such a circuit which would be installed inside the electric meter within the seal box. At normal circumstances the circuit would be in off condition, but as soon as any low resistance path is connected between the input and output terminals of the meter, the circuit gets connected and produces a out of phase voltage wave at the output terminals of meter, where it meets to the original voltage wave and due to phase difference of pi, both the waves get superimposed out of phase, which gives the resultant voltage about 0 to 20 volts.
