Terrell A. Young is a professor of literacy education at Washington State University. He is serving as a member of the International Reading Association Board of Directors from 2009 2012.

Linda Rief
Linda is the author or coeditor of five Heinemann titles. She is also a national and international consultant on issues of adolescent literacy. In 2000, she was the recipient of NCTEs Edwin A. Hoey Award for Outstanding Middle School Educator in the English/Language Arts.

Author of The Maze Runner, Scorch Trials, and the Jimmy Fincher Saga. James is an author who still cant believe people will pay him for doing something he loves. As a child Anne was shy and usually lost in a world of her imagination. Her recent books are Swamp Angel and Dust Devil.

Conference Overview
June 27 Carole Monlux, MSRC Membership Director, discussed decline in membership and ways to maintain or increase members in the local councils. June 27 Installation of new MSRC officers. Awards were presented and MERC received Honor Council. June 28 Nancy Coopersmith and Jerrie Boksich updated us on the Common Core Standards.
