EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP. Mayor Janice S. Mironov, accompanied by Council Members and Mercer County Regional Chamber of Commerce representative Joseph Zoratti, joined General Manager Yogi Manaktala of Bawarchi Indian Restaurant to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Bawarchi Indian Restaurant, located in the Royal Plaza Shopping Center, at Route 130 South and Dutch Neck Road (next to City Streets). General Manager Yogi Manaktala and his son Poneet Manakala have created a menu with a large variety of dishes from Northern and Southern Indian, including vegetarian specialties, soups, goat and lamb dishes, seafood, Indian breads, and IndoChinese dishes. Bawarchi, which means chef in the Indian language, is a full service sit down restaurant, and has a buffet during lunch hours. Hours of operation are Monday from 11 am to 2 pm for lunch only, Tuesday through Thursday from 11 am to 9:30 pm, and Friday through Sunday from 11 am to10 pm. Mayor Mironov stated, "Bawarchi, a 1,875 square foot new restaurant, is a great addition to the Royal Plaza Shopping Center. Bawarachi Indian Restaurant, decorated inside with vistas of well known sites in India, provides another interesting addition and example of the assortment of international restaurants locating in East Windsor."
