Ratan Tata:An Uncomparallable Emerald

Starting right from his childhood, he was grown up in a cloistered environment.His parents were divorced adn this was a huge shock of his life.He was brought up by his grandmother lady Navajbai, who brought up his father.He has gone through his studies in USA pursuing his B.Sc in Structural Engineering in 1962. Due to some currency exchange problems he has to face many financial barricade which resulted in worsening up the situation. He has to work in shops, wash utensils etc. to make both the ends meet. After completing his B.Sc he has prusued his managment studies from Harvard in 1975. He was offered a job in IBM but turned it down and joined Tata Group of Industries. At first he was thrown tro Bihar which was somewhat difficult for him to adjust with the culture after living in USA for so many years. After observing his dedication and hardwork he was tranferred back to Mumbai. JRD Tata was so much impressed by his work and in order to prove it he decided to appoint Ratan as his succesor and was awarded the post of Chairman in Tata Group in 1981. In 1983, he came up with the new strategies to boost up the business ,but due to some political and fiscal issues those strategy were shunned off. In 1991 there was a kind of battle between Ratan and Russi for a poisition , as a result of which Russi was thrown aback. With the arrival of 21st century the busines began to pace up with the speed of light and Tata left behind many big players in the market namely Ford, Daewoo etc.With the advent of 2008 Tata introduced it's best and the cheapest product "Nano" which is considered as the best use of technology both on economical and financial grounds. Switching over to the personal life of Ratan Tata, he is a deffident man, less likely to mingle with others, prefers to be in solitude.He lives in his bachelor aprtment in Colaba, Mumbai with lot of books in the vicinity. He drives to his office in a Tata car and avoid's show off's.He is a man of strong will who belives in practical implementations rather than boasting.
