to hold the distinction of being the first to pass in four years from that particular school. 19992004 National Geographic Society Washington, DC Database Administrator/PeopleSoft Administrator As Oracle Administrator: Created, Maintained, Troubleshot and Tuned various Oracle 9 databases. Installed/Upgraded Oracle on all IBM AIX and Sun Microsystems UNIX minicomputers. Major Accomplishment Tuned databases so that they required very little maintenance apart from periodic upgrades. As PeopleSoft Administrator: Maintained Security for NGS HRMS and Financial PeopleSoft modules. Installed/Upgraded PeopleTools on all related minicomputers. 19971999 Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) Silver Spring, MD System Administrator Maintained UNIX operating system on large IBM Computers by performing periodic system maintenance and applying needed upgrades. Major Accomplishment -- Converted all group processes to electronic media to support ISO 9000. ISO 9000 Certification was obtained. 19911997 DoD Admin. Support Ctr. (DASC) Ft. Belvoir, VA Database Administrator (GS-12) Created, maintained, troubleshot and tuned various Oracle 7/8i databases. Installed/upgraded Oracle on all DASC UNIX-based minicomputers. Headed up the effort to convert from an IBM Mainframe platform to one of UNIX-based minicomputers and spearheaded the shipment of the IBM mainframes to their new location. Headed up the installation of the HP-UX minicomputers in a newly installed Rack configuration. At our new location, headed up the liaison team that served between the networking staff and non-technical

users. Responsibilities included establishing the monthly agenda, taking meeting notes and distributing meeting information to the technical staff and user community. 19841991 Pinkerton Computer Consultants, Inc. Alexandria, VA Member of Technical Staff Provided computer programs using COBOL II and Model 204. Created these programs for various organizations including the Dept. of Education, Boeing Computer Services and the White House. Among the major programs provided was the creation and implementation of the very first Presidents Academic Fitness Awards program which is still in existence. Used Wordstar to create User- and SystemDocumentation. 19821983 United States Senate Computer Ctr. Washington, DC Computer Programmer (GS-11) Supported various senate offices by supplying required programs. Created and implemented the first Ethics Committee computer-centered tracking system. Created and distributed related User- and System-Documentation.

19791982 Defense Fuels Supply Center Cameron Station, VA Programmer (GS-7 11) Supplied COBOL programs in support of DFSC Major Accomplishment while a GS-7, supervisor assigned me as project lead over 2 programmers of higher grade. Project was completed successfully and within allotted time specifications. 19781979 Defense Construction Supply Center Columbus, OH Computer Programmer Trainee (GS-5) Completed an extensive 1-year formal training program to prepare for programming in Cobol and Assembler languages. Training included learning computer operations and six months of OJT, as well. Major Accomplishment OJT supervisor offered me a full-time programming position.
