INTERNAL VACANCY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN

A position exists for a Research and Development Technician in the Operations Department. The Technician will be responsible for the testing of conveyor rollers, building and checking test rigs as well as failure analysis. The Technician will report directly to the Engineering Manager, Mr Enver Rose. MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED A proven track record in a similar environment Knowledge of conveyor idlers will be a benefit 3 5 Years Experience Grade 12 and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Knowledge of SANS standards relating to conveyors CAD knowledge Ability to operate machine tools example lathe, milling machines Computer literacy - Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Knowledge and experience of test instrumentation and setup
