    The 1st Annual Miners Rodeo will be held on August 27th, 2011 at the Elko County Fairgrounds following the races starting at 7pm. It is a WSRRA sanctioned event with a $500 entry fee per 5 person team where one member must be a female. Team entries are due by August 20th and will participate in events like ribbon roping, chute dogging, conveyor belt race, Mormon team roping, stock saddle bronc riding and team roping. There is also a $75 open stock saddle bronc event with $500 added. Contestants must work in the mining industry.
