Amisa-Puja

from of practice on the external level - a matter of our words and deeds. It comes under the headings of generosity and virtue but doesnt count as the highest form of homage.

Dhamma Puja
This is the other level of puja, homage through the practice which the Buddha said is supreme. Purify your mind so that it can stand rmly in its own goodness, independent of any and all outside objects.

This kind of practice enables the highest attainment of Arahantship. When we practise this kind of puja, it is the highest form of veneration as the Buddha spoke One who sees the Dhamma, sees me. Dhamma puja requires one to undertake the three sikha trainings of morality, concentration and wisdom. So amisa dana and Dhamma dana may be called Amisa Puja, honoring with material things and Dhamma Puja, honoring with the teaching through practice. The essential teaching of Buddha is to wake up!
