MLA Style Papers

This is what the first page of your paper should look like. Note that there is no

need for a

coverpage or anything fancy. The following information should help you with the

general set up of your paper.

• Margins should be 1” on all sides, left justified.

• Your entire paper should be double-spaced.

• Your font should be set at 12 point Times New Roman (just like this paper).

• Your title should NOTbe underlined, italicized, boldfaced, capitalized or larger

than a 12 font. When you are using the title of a published work in your title, you

ONLYitalicize the published title.

• Every page after the first one should have a header that includes your name and

page number (look at the following sample).

*Header may not show on website.
