films have increased their share in the printing industry. This trend is expected to continue with the introduction of improved high strength ink systems being developed.

Arizona Chemical offers a wide range of tall oil dimer acid based polyamide ink resins for your flexible packaging ink needs. Our UNI-REZ divided into the following groups:

Polyamide Ink Resins can be

Co-solvent polyamides are designed to be soluble in blends of alcohols and/or aliphatic hydrocarbons. They can be formulated to give systems with excellent adhesion, pigment wetting and gloss, fast solvent release and resistance to water, chemicals and deep freeze conditions. Alcohol soluble polyamides are designed to be soluble in ethanol or a blend of alcohols and have very good ester tolerance. They are generally more compatible with nitrocellulose than the co-solvent types, and have better low temperature gel resistance/recovery. The improved compatibility with nitrocellulose allows the formulation of printing inks with higher heat resistance for heat-seal applications. A number of hard, high-softening point polyamides are especially suitable for use in Cold Seal Release Lacquer applications (CSRL). They offer the best properties that are required, such as blocking resistance, high gloss, excellent adhesion, optimum slip properties and excellent water resistance especially for packaging materials subjected to deep freezing.
