This study investigated the destruction of azo dyes in textile effluent using the medium pressure ultraviolet reactor (JlAPUVR) that emits 254 nm radiation. The initial dye concentration was the range of 1-3 mgIL and the exposure time was in the range of 1-15 min. The effectiveness of UV reactor of dyes increased with increasing the exposure time and reduced with increasing the dye concentration.
