Dramatica Theory Outline of Novel: Story Goal: Main character struggles with the reality that he is about to die

from cancer and tries to craft meaning out of his life experiences. Character 1: Grandmother who passed away when main character was eight. Teaches him to make a mark on the world, to make a name for himself, because a life isn t meaningful he is forgotten after death. Character 2: Father is a cancer biologist working in a lab on the verge of finding a cure for cancer. His fight embodies a struggle not only for others, but also for his son. Character 3: Mother runs an elder care center a couple blocks away from home. Her idea of making an impact is being a loving person who others will treasure. Beginning of story: Doctors told him that he had at most a week to live. Main character is writing the only diary entry of his entire life the night of the 7th day.
