Check and make sure all materials used on this job site are VOC compliant and APPROVED!

SMACNA Requirements
Your IAQ Management Plan
1. Protect the HVAC system during construction. If possible, avoid using permanently installed air handlers for temporary heating/cooling during construction; wrap all duct work in plastic; store it away from dust of construction area. 2. Control pollutant sources Use only specified low VOC materials; isolate toxic materials; monitor site vehicle activity to limit fumes from entering building. 3. Interrupt pathways to prevent contamination Use only specified low VOC materials; isolate toxic materials; monitor site vehicle activity to limit fumes from entering building. 4.Housekeeping Keep site clean of dust and debris. Protect porous materials from moisture and contaminants. Use wetting agents to pick up dust and vacuum cleaners with filters. 5. Sequence installation of materials to avoid contamination of absorptive materials such as insulation, carpeting, ceiling tile, and gypsum wallboard.

HVAC Protection
COVER YOUR DUCTS! Protect all HVAC equipment from dust and debris. Remember to seal all duct and equipment openings with plastic.

Source Control
KEEP YOUR AIR CLEAN ! Don t use any products that arent approved as being low VOC! If using toxic materials, store them in special container and in well ventilated area. Exhaust fumes from idling vehicles and tools that use fuel to exterior of building.

Contain Dust
DONT CONTAMINATE CLEAN SPACES! Use temporary barriers to separate construction areas from other spaces. Ventilate space after using VOC emitting materials.

Housekeeping
KEEP IT CLEAN! Store all porous materials in clean area, away from moisture. When sweeping, use approved wet scrubbers and wetting agents and vacuums with filters. GC and all subcontractors are responsible for cleaning up their own materials. Remove excess materials and waste from site on a regular basis.
