State Rep. Mike Dovilla Announces Hometown Heroes Contest

BEREA, OHIO State Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) today announced his inaugural Hometown Heroes Contest, an opportunity for residents of 18th House District communities to recognize the contributions of everyday citizens doing extraordinary things. Anyone can nominate a Hometown Hero, who must reside in the 18th District (Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township and Strongsville), for demonstrating selfless service to the community as a whole. Nominations will be reviewed by a panel which will select one male winner and one female winner from the entries. Each Hometown Hero selected will receive two tickets to The Ohio State University football game versus the University of Colorado in Columbus on Saturday, September 24, 2011. I am pleased to inaugurate our Hometown Heroes Contest for residents of the 18th District, said Dovilla. Each day, hard working Ohioans go about their daily business, taking risks to grow our economy as small business owners and employers, protecting our communities as police officers or firefighters, and working in the factories and on the construction sites that strengthen our region. I hope that through this new program these citizens, who form the backbone of our great state, will gain some recognition for all they do.
