Cross Country and Track & Field Visit Information
December 6 Visit Information:
Schedule:
Saturday’s Visit begins with Check-in/Registration at 11:00am. We will be hosting a home track and field
meet our 4th Annual Blue-Gold Alumni Meet, come watch and meet our athletes and coaching staff. You
will also get the opportunity to meet with admissions, have a campus tour, eat dinner on campus, have all
of your questions answered about our athletic programs at LSSU during our athletic presentation.
Following all of these events you will have the opportunity to watch a Division 1 hockey game versus our
biggest rival Northern Michigan University.

Saturday:
• 11:00am – Check-in/Registration (Norris Center): At the track and field meet
• 11:00am – Track and Field Meet Blue-Gold Alumni Meet (Norris Center)
• 1:30pm – Admissions (Short presentation by the admissions staff)
• 2:00pm – Campus Tour (With admissions staff)
• 4:00pm – Dinner (compliments of LSSU)
• 5:00pm – Athletic Presentation (Norris Center)
• 6:00pm – Chuck-a-puck
• 7:05 pm – LSSU DI Hockey Game [Versus Northern Michigan University] Tickets are
compliments of the athletics department (for students and their parents)

Driving Directions to the Lake Superior
State University Track and Track Office
From the South:
Drive North on I-75. After crossing Mackinaw Bridge you will have 40-45 minutes of driving. Take the last exit on I-75 (exit 394), at the
stop sign turn right on Easterday, go up the hill & turn right at the first light (Meridian Street). You will take the first right into the Norris
Center parking lot. My office and the track are in the athletics center (Norris Center). There are two sets of doors in the front. Go in the left
doors.

After entering the Norris Center the Track Office will require an immediate right, go through some doors, another immediate right through
doors, and an immediate right (it should make sense when you get there).

To get to the track you will enter the left doors and go straight through (4 more sets of doors).

From the North (Canada):

Follow the signs to the International Bridge. Have your picture I.D. ready and bridge fair ($1.50 U.S. $2.25 CAN). After clearing customs
and toll on the U.S. side, take the 1st exit on your right. At the stop sign turn left. This will lead you to a four-way stop (Easterday Ave).
Turn right on Easterday, go up the hill & turn right at the first light (Meridian Street). You will take the first right into the Norris Center
parking lot. My office and the track are in the athletics center (Norris Center). There are two sets of doors in the front. Go in the left
