IS USING MISWAK PERMISABLE DURING FASTING OR NOT?

Sahih Bukhari, Vol 3, Book of Fasting, Ch 31, Hadith 118: Narrated Abu Huraira (May Allah Be Pleased With Him): Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times." Description: Some people wrongly interpret the above Hadith quoted in Sahih Bukhari. People think that since the Siwak would remove the smell of the mouth of the persons performing fast, Allah will not enjoy the smell coming out of it. But in fact bad smell comes from the stomach because of its emptiness of no food till long in the stomach (bowls), where as Siwak just brushes the gums rather refreshing the smell coming from the stomach. Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Book of Friday Prayers, Ch 13, Hadith 12: Narrated Abu Huraira (May Allah Be Pleased With Him): Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, If I had not found it hard for my followers or the people, I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak for every prayer. Description: This reflects that Siwak was held recommended act before every prayer. And if it was prohibited during fasting, it must be instructed by Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Such as.. Sunan Abou Dawood Vol : 2, Book of Fasting, Hadith: 2360: Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, Pass water excessively through your nose while ablution, except while you were fasting. Conclusion: Since, the act of Siwak before ablution is not restricted by our beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) rather instructed us to use Siwak after each and every Salah (prayer), we should very well use Siwak during fasting.
