ORDER OF THE BLESSING OF SWINGING BELL Entrance song: Glory and Praise to our God

INTRODUCTORY RITES: Priest: R: Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, who makes us one church, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. Dear brothers and sisters, today is a joyous and happy day for all of us, as the repaired and restored swinging bell be blessed and installed in our church and we have the opportunity in this celebration to praise Gods name. Bells have a special place in the life of gods people: the ringing of bells marks the hours for prayer and calls us to the celebration of the liturgy; bells alert us to important events, both happy and sad, in the life of the church and the community. Let us, then, participate devoutly in this celebration, so that whenever we hear the ringing of bells we will remember that we are one family, coming together to show our community in Christ.

A READING FROM THE BOOK OF PSALM R: The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is majestic. PSALM 29 Give to the Lord, you sons of God give to the Lord glory and praise Give to the Lord the Glory due his name; adore the Lord in Holy attire. The voice of the Lord is over the waters, the God of glory thunders, The Lord, over vast water. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, The Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. R: The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord strikes fiery flames: The voice of the Lord shakes the desert, The Lord shakes the wilderness of Kedash. The voice of the Lord twists the oaks And strips the forests, And in his temple all say, Glory! R: The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is majestic.
The Lord is enthroned above the flood; The Lord is enthroned as king forever. May the Lord give strength to his people May the Lord bless his people with peace! R. The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is majestic.
