MEMORANDUM
To From Subject Date : Professor Don Brodeth : Dixie Diana V. Fernandez : Mid-Semester Self-Evaluation : July 6, 2011

Self evaluation normally assesses our strengths and weakness, recognizing what we actually know and what we would like to know. In this manner, we will be able to set our goals and to see if we can attain everything with the new knowledge we have as a result of self-assessment. In our class, I find it easy to convey my opinions during every discussion, especially on issues or topics to which I am more acquainted with. At the end of every presentation in our class, I have been an active participant in group discussions. Like what I did on issues pertaining to Coaching, which focuses on the different stages of learning. In this topic, I have been able to clearly impart my ideas as I easily understood the situation and all the related techniques involved. I also remember an instance when our topic is about Negotiations. During that time, I was also able to easily adapt with the discussion when I just implemented a simple strategy, and that is to study the main topic. When it comes to speaking up in the class, I have the confidence to stand in front, but there were circumstances wherein I easily get distracted and wasnt able to clarify and clearly communicate my ideas. In addition to this, there was a case in point that I was hesitant to either asks for information or starts an argument by rendering my personal opinions. I believed this is because I am sometimes afraid of receiving unconstructive reactions on my comments. One of the basic approaches I always considered and continuously applied is to always be prepared in every discussion. In this manner, I can easily acquire all necessary information about the subject and this will help me openly deliver my views and opinions. I always pay attention on all comments of my classmates during discussion as I also learn from them. I am not only an active participant but also a good listener who give points to others ideas and beliefs. Because, it was through sharing that you gain more knowledge and develop reflective learning.
