Carry out concreting to simple forms

FOOTINGS
Under every building is a foundation. Under most foundations are footings. Footings are normally taken for granted but they are very important. Footings not only provide a level platform for forms or masonry, they also spread the weight of a building so the ground underneath can carry the load better. For typical soils, a common 400 mm wide footing can more than handle the relatively light weight of an ordinary house. A footing can be: a concrete slab a strip of concrete (eg to support the brickwork in a brick veneer house) the stumps of a house.
