Applications & Implementation - Single and dual-band AP - Enhanced operations - Video bridge - 3G support for Femtocells - Optional IPEX connector - Can be printed on system PCB - Standard PCB manufacturing process
MTM-B is an ultra-compact balanced antenna for wireless access point applications. This antenna is based on metamaterial structures, a new class of designs using conventional material, such as FR4 and copper, which exhibit left-handed propagation properties not found in natural materials. These unique properties enable metamaterial antennas to be extremely small and support very compact MIMO arrays with up to 20x size reduction in antennas and MIMO arrays, while improving overall performance for short and long-range communication. Rayspans MTM-BTM Technology ensures that every compact antenna element delivers eciencies similar to free space dipoles while simultaneously providing high MIMO gain with drastically reduced spacing between the antenna elements compared to dipole arrays.
