KNOWLEDGE ITSELF IS POWER


Education means process by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, and intellect is sharpened, as a result of which one can stand on ones own feet.

Mrs. Packletide

A plethora of activities in English classroom kept the students enthused and engrossed. Students honed their literary and artistic skills by drawing cartoon strips to depict Mrs. Packletide and Mrs. Loona Bimbertons vain world. Much excitement and interest was evoked when students enacted the roles of Mrs. Packletide and Mrs. Loona Bimberton (from Sakis Mrs Packletides Tiger) and gave a new twist to the story. A debate was conducted through all the sections of class X. The students displayed their oratorical skills. The objective of the activity was to instill confidence in them.

SCIENCE
Science activities conducted on all working Saturdays encourage the students to validate their learning of the theory classes. Working in association with Yardstick, an organization comprising of some highly charged and innovative minds, DPS Bangalore (North) is striving towards making Science interesting and useful for students. This month the students concentrated on Electro-refining and under the guidance of the Science teachers made a working model that helped them understand the Flemings left hand rule. The activities generated a lot of excitement and interest in the classroom.

Geography Education towards
awareness being the motto of social science studies now, the students, learnt more about endangered and endemic species by preparing charts in groups and enjoyed the whole experience.

The Endangered Species Act is the strongest and most effective tool we have to repair the environmental harm that is causing a species to decline.

FRENCH ACTIVITY-Students of class 10 worked on presenting five well known universities in France. They did this with the help of posters and a description of each. This activity was related to their chapter on the education system in France.
