Overview of the VCT: Vehicle Characteristics Tester

A new solution to end of line quality control for vehicle manufacturers

The Vehicle Characteristic Tester (VCT) introduces you to a new and unique proven system of hi-tech vehicle testing, adapted for the world of end-of-the-line quality control. The VCT will help identify the condition of all new systems which could not be tested until now such as ABS, ESP, tachograph, heavy vehicle retarders etc., including future additions as and when they are added. The VCT tests simultaneously all parameters on 4x2, 4x4, 4x6, 6x6 and 8x8 (military) vehicles whilst measuring "play" in front, rear suspensions and wheel parallelism under real road conditions all in less than 2.5 minutes for cars and, 4.5 for heavy vehicles. All parameters are tested in dynamic and real road conditions between 5-250kph. The VCT provides graphs covering the engine, suspension, brakes, automatic transmission, manual transmission, emissions and much more, for comparison to benchmark graphs of the manufacturer and will show results in terms of real road conditions. The VCT is the world's most advanced all in one vehicle testing equipment and is ideally suited for end of line inspections, quality control and after sales inspections for cars and heavy vehicles. The VCT complies with EEC and other international standards. In addition, the VCT is the only equipment of its kind that suits compulsory annual vehicle inspections under real road conditions, compared to existing standards in practice today under static conditions or maximum 5kph, thus providing a far higher level of safety for drivers, families and other road users. In addition, the VCT is ideal for the testing of used vehicles prior to sale.
