Interested in a career in law enforcement?

The Pleasant Hill Police Department is currently offering a Police Explorer program to youth in Pleasant Hill. Police Explorers receive training in the following areas:

Police Procedure Search and Seizure Vehicle Stops Firearms Evidence Collection Crime Scene Investigation Arrest and Control Scenarios C.P.R./ First Aid Detention Police Explorers are expected to attend monthly meetings at the department, provide support at public events and participate in several offsite activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants for the Explorer program must be between the ages of 14-20, have community ties to the city of Pleasant Hill (live, work, attend school, etc.,), maintain a G.P.A of at least 2.0, pass an oral interview and background check, and possess the character and maturity to work in a professional law enforcement environment. Space in the Explorer program is limited to 10 on a first come first serve basis.
* The Explorer program is an unpaid program for volunteers interested in a career in law enforcement. Participants do not receive any high school or college credit.
