    The Junior Varsity girls cross country team from Parkway West High School competed in the Warrior Classic meet hosted by Parkway Central High School. The meet included varsity, JV, and freshman divisions running 5K races. Weather was warm during the day but cooled to the 70s for the races. Michelle Cully led the JV team, finishing first with a time of 26:11. The coach noted the team ran well and hopes to have more than the seven runners who competed due to injuries heal for the next meet.

    Coach Cutelli’s Comments:

    The team ran well. Parkway Central is a great course to run, especially after Sioux Passage.
    Congratulations to Michelle Cully for leading the way. Hopefully next race everyone will be healthy
    and instead of seven runners we will have more. Take a look at Megan Arnell’s splits. She might be
    towards the back of the pack at the beginning of the race but by the end she has definitely moved up. I
    do not have the team scores or places currently. If any of you remember those spots please tell me and
    I will update accordingly.
