    1) Create a desktop shortcut for the rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState command and name it appropriately. 2) Right click the shortcut, select Properties, then Change Icon to select an icon from the powrprof.dll file such as the power icon. 3) Assign the shortcut key CTRL+ALT+H so your desktop can be restored by pressing this key combination instead of clicking the icon.

    Please find below the steps to configure this Hibernate option: 1) Right click on any empty area in your

    desktop and click New -> Shortcut 2) Paste the following into the text box and click on Next.

    rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState

    3) Give a suitable name for this shortcut and click Finish.

    Now you would like to change the icon for this shortcut to be more appropriate. Right click the on shortcut -> Properties

    Now click on Change Icon button and click on Browse.

    You will be taken to the C:\Windows\System32 folder, Select the file powrprof.dll as

    8) Now you will see a list of icons displayed. Select the power icon or any other icon of your choice as shown.

    Click OK

    10) Click OK.

    11) Now you will see the shortcut on your desktop.

    Right click on that Go to properties/shortcutstab/shortcut key box : It would be none currently. Press CTRL+ALT+H to make a shortcut key combination for this.

    All you need to do is that, just double click this icon(or press CTRL+ALT+H) before leaving for the day and dont forget to switch off your monitor.

    The next day you switch ON your pc, all your work will be restored.
