The petition seeks relief which is in line with the Associations longstanding position that lawyers subjected to disciplinary charges should not be prosecuted on substandard levels of proof, among other due process violations. As an ethics lawyer, you know that New York is one of the minority states that allows convictions on quasicriminal charges through a preponderance standard. I am sure you will find my petition a fascinating read. More importantly, you may find it sufficiently unique and compelling to warrant the Associations involvement.
