The Sickle Cell foundation is an organization that strives to spread awareness about Sickle Cell Anemia and living with the disease. The Sickle Cell foundation also does events for children who all come from different parts of the United States who have the disease. Their goal is to also educate parent and children on how to recognize cope with the disease by not letting it ruin the carrier of the disease life. A year ago the Sickle Cell Foundation almost closed down because of lack of funds and donations needed to keep running. The main problem is when trying to be that support system to family with out having the necessary funding to hold events for sickle cell patients it like we letting the family down. Fundraiser events will take place from starting Saturday April 2, 2011 and ending Saturday May 28, 2011.
