Assume the role of Hercule Poirot and try to identify the murderer before time runs out in this updated version of wink murder! How to Play Carefully cut out the name tags opposite. Allow one name tag per person. One player must always be 'Hercule Poirot' and another must be 'The Murderer' - therefore add the required number of other characters depending on the number of people playing. Fold up the tags and put them in a hat or cup. Everyone must draw a name. One player will find that they are Hercule Poirot and must declare it immediately. This player is immune from dying and is the detective of the game. Another player will discover that they are 'The Murderer' but must NOT declare it. This player must try to 'murder' another player, simply by looking them in the eye and winking! If a player has been winked at they must act out a good death scene! It is up to 'Hercule Poirot' to work out who 'The Murderer ' is and can then make an accusation. If Poirot is correct then he wins the game. Other players may not provide hints if they know who the murderer is. If Poirot is incorrect then he has failed in his investigation and 'The Murderer' wins the game For 6 - 10 players
