    A networked city at the dawn of the electric era

    One hundred years ago, Hamilton was blanketed by a grid of electrified rail lines far more extensive than the most ambitious transit proposal being discussed today. The network included regional lines to Oakville, Dundas, Brantford and Beamsville.
