Nowadays there are so many people spending most of their time at work. They are so busy that they have no time to visit or chat with their neighbours. When they have spare time they prefer staying at home or going out with their families to chatting with their neighbours. To avoid the routine and boring situation and tiredness they go on vacation. It often happens that people meet their next door neighbour far away from home. They dont realize that the people they are getting to know are actually the people who live next door. They are so close but they dont know each other. One day, Mr. Tantowi was going to America for vacation. He went there with his family. He took a ship. One evening he met a stranger on the ship. Then he chatted. Mr. Tantowi : Do you live in Jakarta? Stranger : Yes, I do. I live in the northern part of Jakarta. Mr. Tantowi : Nothern part of Jakarta! I live there, too. Jakarta is a funny place. I dont know my next-door neighbou.r Stranger : I live in Haji Naimun Street. Mr. Tantowi : Thats funny ! I live in Haji Naimun Street, too. Stranger : I live at number 5 Haji Naimun Street. Mr. Tantowi : I live at number 4! You are my next-door neighbours My name is Tantowi. Stranger : My name is Aldi. Together : How do you do? This condition should be avoided. Just try to know the people around you so that you dont feel embarrassed when you meet a stranger in the other country. We find out that Mr. Tantowi and Aldi are actually neighbours, even next-door neighbours. But because of their activities and business they never meet each other.
