The names of the position holders in the Lahore Board Intermediate examination were announced on Friday at the Lahore Board examination centre on Lawrence Road. The full results will be announced on Saturday (today) at 10 am.

Hira Iftikhar of Kinnaird College for Women (KC) was first with 1,039 marks out of 1,100. Javaria Tehzeeb of KC was second with 1,036 marks, while the third position was shared by Anam Manzoor and Rubar Haider Jafri of KC and Ali Ayub of Government Islamia College Civil Lines with 1,028 marks each.

In the pre-engineering group, Anam Sadiq of Punjab College was first with 1,025 marks and Ayesha Zulfiqar and Maryum Khalid of KC were second and third with 1,016 and 1,015 marks respectively. In the pre-medical group, three students of the Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Muhammad Arslan Arshad, Ahmad Bani Sadar and Muhmmad Hamza were first, second and third with 1,021, 1,018 and 1,013 marks respectively. Ashas Ahmad of GCU came first with 992 marks in the general science group among boys and Abeera Shahbaz of Queen Mary College came first with 985 marks among girls.

M Ashfaq of Punjab College topped the commerce group among boys with 975 marks and Fareeha Waseem of Punjab College among girls with 994 marks. In the humanities group, Hafiz Yasin, a private candidate, came first among boys

with 931 marks and Sara Zahid of the Ghazali College for Women came first with 940 marks among girls.

Reply None of the Pakistani toppers have ever done anything remarkable in their fields. They are the product of corrupt and flawed system. Their parents should also be awarded for all behind the scenes efforts and role.
