Practice Random Acts of Kindness

What is a random act of kindness? It is a good thing that we do for no reason except that we want to make another human being happy. We except nothing in return. Why should we bother to practice random kindness? As human beings, we have the power to make the world a better place to live in. An act of kindness is a wonderful way to touch the life of another human being. Kindness leads to kindness. Who started this movement? The expression Practise Random Acts of Kindness was first penned by Anna Herbert in 1982 in a journal now called Whole Earth Review. After the article appeared, the movement spread slowly in the San Francisco Bay Area but after the publication of a book entitled Random Acts of Kindness in 1993, the movement spread rapidly all over the United States and many other countries in the world. What acts of kindness can students do? Simple acts of kindness are sufficient. It is best that the acts be anonymous. Put a small gift on the desk of a friend who is feeling depressed. Leave a note of appreciation for your teacher whos looking tired. Do something nice for your parents, to show your appreciate them. Thats all it takes.
