HAVE, HAS AND HAD


The verb has and have are used to say what people own, possess, usually do or just did. Have is use with the plural subject (eg. pronouns: I, we, you and they ; nouns: my parents and Tom and Susan Has is use with the singular subject (eg. pronouns: he, she and it ; nouns: the teacher and my dad The simple past form for have and has is had. Below are some of examples regarding the verb has, have and had. I have two brothers and one sister Sally has a pretty face We have art lesson on Monday Peter has a sore knee We usually have lunch at school She sometimes has cola to drink. They had wonderful holiday in Europe. She had long hair when I saw her a year ago. Besides, we also used have and has in present perfect tense and had in past perfect tense. Example:We have lived in this house for five years. Your plane has already landed. She had bought the ticket to the cinema yesterday.
