This document summarizes research conducted on the distribution of three ornamental plant species - Asplenium nidus (Langsuyar), morning glory, and laughing orchid - at three locations in Malaysia. Researchers observed the presence of these species at Kinabalu Park (highland), Sukau (lowland), and FRC Sepilok (lowland). They found that Asplenium nidus was present at all three locations, morning glory was found at Kinabalu Park and FRC Sepilok, and laughing orchid was only present at Kinabalu Park. The distributions of the species were affected by factors such as laughing orchid only growing in highland areas, and Asplenium

This academic visit of BIO300 we were went to three places to do a research
about the distribution of the ornamental plant that grow at Kinabalu Park, Sukau and FRC Sepilok. The species that we want to do a research is morning glory, laughing orchid and Langsuyar (Asplenium nidus). The focus species that we choose is Asplenium nidus or the common name in Malay is Langsuyar. Kinabalu Park is higher land while Sukau and FRC Sepilok is lowland. The method that we used to do this research is by doing an observation. We are observing this focus species (Asplenium nidus), morning glory (Ipomea learii) and laughing orchid at these three places whether they are exist or not at these three places. The first place that we go is Kinabalu Park. At this place we were managed to found all of three plant species which is Langsuyar (Asplenium nidus), morning glory (Ipomea learii) and laughing orchid. All of these species are easy to find in Kinabalu Park. At the second places, which is at Sukau we were found Asplenium nidus only. We were found the Asplenium nidus at the middle of Sukau Forest. The overall result that we found is Asplenium nidus was grow at these three places, whether the place is highland or lowland. We are also were found morning glory at this two places which is at Kinabalu Park and at FRC Sepilok but laughing orchid we were just found it only at Kinabalu Park. The distributions of this three species are affecting by several reasons. First, laughing orchid only grow at highland place while Asplenium nidus can grow at both places whether the places is highland or lowland. Second laughing orchid do not need high temperature to grow while Asplenium nidus and morning glory was need sunlight to growth. As the conclusion, the distribution of our focused species is not consistent in each place.
