The Whole Recruitment Process Revolves Around Two Questions !

1. What the Candidate Had Done in

Past? 2. What the Candidate Is Capable of Doing in the Future?

This Can Be Found in Two Ways!

Both have their own significance and importance. Modern recruitment processes prefer a combination of both. Test can be administered either before or after the interview. In my personal research concluded to carry out recruitment process most effectively and efficiently interview should follow testing process.

What Is Testing?

To check the proficiency, attainment and psychometric abilities of the candidate by actually putting him/her in the office environment. This could be a written examination test or series or goals and tasks to be accomplished in written.

Purpose of Testing!
Gather Information About the Candidate To Know the Apparent or Hidden Ability and the Motivation in the Candidate!

The Team Conducting the Tests:

Psychologists. Direct supervisors. Junior staff.

Personality Test

Psychometric Test Proficiency Tests Aptitude Test

Performance Test Knowledge Test

Gen. Aptitude test

Trainability Test

IQ TEST

Characteristics of Testing!
It should be sensitive. Its should be standardized. It should be reliable. It should be valid.

Advantages
Saves time. Saves cost. Easy supervision. Can be applied on groups to check the compatibility and coordination. Help filter the candidates for interview.

Limitations!
There is not always a direct relationship between ability in the test and ability in the job! The interpretation of test results is a skilled task, for which special training and experience is essential!
