Suspect Arrested After Robbing Four Men In East Baltimore

September 14, 2011 / Baltimore, Md Leon Williams, 22, was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with robbing four men Monday night. On September 12, 2011, just after 11:30pm, Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 1600 block of E. North Avenue. After locating two victims on North Avenue, officers located two additional robbery victims in the area. All of the victims stated that they had been approached by 2 men who displayed a handgun and then demanded money. Officers immediately began to search the area for the suspects. A short time later, Officers located an individual matching the suspect description. After a thorough investigation by Eastern District Detectives, Leon Williams was arrested and charged. Williams was charged with several counts of robbery, assault, and weapons charges. He was being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking and Intake Facility. Detectives are continuing to search for the second suspect. -END-
