Go Green Travel Company Project
Go Green Travel Company Project
Often called eco-tourism and sustainable tourism but more accurately described as "any activity or facility operating in an environmentally friendly way". A lodge with composting toilets, gray water system, and solar powered lighting is probably "green". Before you stay in a hotel check if it recycles or practices energy saving methods. Better still, why not camp?

Water, and especially fresh water, is one of the most important natural resources. The tourism industry generally overuses water resources for hotels, swimming pools, golf courses and personal use of water by tourists...In dryer regions like the Mediterranean, the issue of water shortage is of particular worry. Because of the hot climate and the tendency of tourists to consume more water when on holiday than they do at home. Important land resources include minerals, fossil fuels, fertile soil, forests, wetland and wildlife. Increased construction of tourism and hotels plus resorts has increased the pressure on these resources and on scenic landscapes.
Transport by air, road, and rail is continuously increasing in response to the rising number of tourists and their greater mobility. Tourism now accounts for more than 60% of air travel
