CHAPTER IV

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents the findings, analysis and interpretation of the data obtained. The data include: demographic characteristics of the respondents, level of knowledge about sex education, attitude towards sex education, and the relationships among demographic characteristics, level of knowledge and attitude towards sex education. Personal characteristics of the respondents The data in Table 2 show that more than half of the respondents were middle adult (55.4 percent) followed by young adult (37.6 percent) and the least were older adult (7 percent). The average age which was 38.97 belongs to the middle adult group. There were more female (70.9 percent) than male (29.1 percent) respondents. In terms of religion, a great majority (93 percent) was Roman Catholic whereas 7 percent was nonRoman Catholic. Among the respondents, both high school and college graduates got the highest percentage (39.4 percent). The rest were only elementary graduates (16 percent), far greater than those who were post graduates (5.2 percent). It can be gleaned that the highest source of the respondents income was farming (41.8 percent), second was taken from their salary (25.4 percent), third was from other sources (17.4 percent) such as driver, housekeeping, and all around, and fourth was from their business enterprise (15 percent) and only one respondent signified no source of
