    1 Mount Tahan

    - the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia.


    -It is located within the Taman Negara national forest, in the state of Pahang.

    -The mountain is part of the Tahan Range and popular to local climbers. -.Gunung Tahan is considered by many to be one of the toughest treks in Peninsular Malaysia. 1.2. The Canopy walkway - the top layer of vegetation in the forest.
    -The 45 meters high and 510 meters long walkway is the longest canopy walk in the world. -The forest canopy allows you to view the rich and diverse flora and fauna at the very summit of the forest. 1.3 Observing Wildlife As Darkness Descends At The Jungle Hides

    -This is a nocturnal activity well worth the effort. - There are six hides scattered around the park, some can be reached by walking, others by boat. -Within the relatively safety of these hides, overlooking the salt licks and clearings, visitors get the chance to observe the often shy animals as they come to lick up the water and soil for essential mineral and salts for their body. 1.4 The life style of orang asli - The orang Asli of Taman Negara call themselves Batek - Some still live a semi nomadic life - They have been some intermarriage with neighbouring SOMOKBERI Group. - The Batek depend largely in forest prodce for their food supply yam and small animal such a monkey and squirrels, are hunted by blowpipe
