Continuing Education Program Sponsored by Catholic Charities Sergeant Catherine Dennis PERSONAL SAFETY TRAINING

Course Description Date:


Personal safety is a critical issue both at the workplace and in delivering services in the community. This workshop addresses personal safety in these settings. All staff, regardless of role, should participate in Safety Training at least one time during their tenure at Catholic Charities. Participants will watch videos, learn about strategies to address safety issues in these settings, and observe a live demonstration. Sergeant Catherine M. Dennis, Director of the St. Louis City Police Departments Citizens Academy, will be the presenter. The session is limited to the first 75 people who register. We will maintain a Waiting List. If you register, you are expected to attend, as we will be holding a registration and parking spot for you. If you need to cancel, contact Mary Faron (see sidebar information).
This training benefits all staff. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance reflecting Safety Training provided by the Saint Louis City Police Department.

Presenter
Sgt. Catherine M. Dennis has conducted Safety Training for approximately 800 employees at Ameren UE, SBC Communications, the Probation and Parole Office, the City Health Department, and within Catholic Charities. She is currently assigned to Community Outreach and is the Director of the Citizens Academy. Catherine has served on the Police Department for 22 years.
