Evangelism and Small Group Ministries Instruction: Write a one page report of a small group activity in which you

have participated.

It was the last Wednesday in June, June 29, 2011. Fasting and prayer was kept at the home of Elder Melvareen Robinson who resides in Cotton Piece District, Linstead, St. Catherine. It started at 9 a.m. and seven (7) persons were present including a non-Christian as well of one person was on the phone. The theme for the fasting and prayer was Faith that Works. A few hymns were sung to begin the session and then the opening prayer was done where the Lord was asked to come into the midst and guide as well.

During the meeting a few scripture passages were read, excerpts from books were read, testimonies were given as well as encouragements. It was a spirit filled and richly blessed meeting. The non-Christian visitor was encouraged to step out in faith and leave everything to God who in turn will lead and provide for her. The other members shared that the meeting was very wonderful as it helped them to draw more closely to God and to rely on Him. Also, the members have decided to meet again soon and invite more non-Christians to the meeting where they can be blessed as well and they, the members, can encourage them to serve the Lord.
